Official: Government to discuss Gazprom’s 2018 divs in Mar–May

MOSCOW, Oct 22 (PRIME) – The government will discuss 2018 dividends of Russian gas giant Gazprom in March–May 2019, Deputy Finance Minister Vladimir Kolychev told reporters on Monday.

“It is too early yet. Next year. Since their profit grew by half a trillion (rubles) thanks in part to the budget rule,” Kolychev said.

“The company has many resources. But discussion will most probably take place in the spring next year. All decisions must be made. Budget stipulates 50% (of the net profit under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in dividends).”
